Contents Planet Now Read My Content

The joy of creating a website externalizing your thoughts and worldviews is boundless for an inveterate blogger like me. I am pleased to announce that my blog site, formerly known as Contents Planet, is now Read My Content. Access the site here -

What is Read My Content?

Read My Content (RMC) is a personal blog site of writer Pawan Kumar Jha. It was founded in 2018 but due to some technical glitches in the initial phase of development, the site got infected with malware, with Google having red-flagged the site, claiming "Unsafe for users" due to the possibility that my blog site was compromised by third-party access.

I had to struggle a lot to fix the issue of my blog site and for nearly one year, though I posted some blogs of my own, due to fear of getting blacklisted, I had to think for an alternate route to save the site from a malicious hacker, as claimed by the search engine. I waited for till the expiration of my hosting service (I purchased a domain and hosting service both from GoDaddy).

I was technically challenged as to how migrating to another hosting service provider will have me to follow some mandatory procedures, and possible repercussions that my website would be in for, subsequent to the migration.

As a matter of fact, migrating to another hosting company was inevitable for me due to some potent reasons -

  • Not happy of the exorbitant cost for renewal of hosting by GoDaddy.
  • Not intended to continue with the hosting service of GoDaddy.
  • The remedial course for removing Google's red-flagged message to the website was to delete all the posts, change the theme and do some hacky fixes just to revert my website to its original and safe form (though a dumb resort yet had to do it due to lack of understanding).

Deletion of the published posts from RMC and changing the theme did help me revert my website to its old, safe position, but it was indeed embarrassing and very tiresome chore for me. In hindsight, I now tend to believe that it was the stupidest action.

Anyway, mistakes help you build your coping mechanisms. It gives you experience based on which you can learn the knowledge of avoiding repeating the same mistakes and do things more appropriately.

I was finally determined not to continue with GoDaddy due to its exorbitant cost for renewal of hosting RMC. Though I opted for domain name renewal but canceled the idea of hosting service and thought of choosing another brand that sounds more quality and affordable to my budgetary capacity.

THE FINDING OF DOMAINRACER

Some research works finally led me to DOMAINRACER wherefrom I purchased hosting service for my website, RMC. Before choosing that hosting company, I made research that choosing LINUX option could relatively be a more affordable option than continuing with the WINDOWS version of my website's hosting.

Even LINUX hosting on GoDaddy was beyond my ability to afford. The cost was Rs 5500 (without SSL certificate). Possibly the company is charging too much to compensate the cost paid to its brand ambassador, MS Dhoni.

Telephonic conversation to the technical care executive of GoDaddy led me to no useful assistance to my plight, as the guy over the phone expressed his helplessness about helping me out with price exorbitancy concerning hosting from Godaddy. Then the thought of changing the hosting company was virtually ingrained to me, and it took the shape of determination when I found DomainRacer.

I still can't vouch for service integrity of my new domain hosting company but so far it's been quite a pleasure to have associated my blog website to DomainRacer. Of course, the affordability is the predominant reason for having chosen it.

Also, it doesn't mean to convey my disregards to Godaddy as well. I can understand that they are professionally-driven company and so the price for domain renewal stood irrevocable, as per their mandatory rules and regulations.

It was just my budget disallowing me not to re-subscribe to hosting service of GoDaddy.

Basically what I did was that I renewed the domain with Godaddy but chose another service provider (DomainRacer) for hosting my site.

A dumb YouTube video-log hoodwinked me about migrating to a new hosting server from the existing one, which finally led me to lose all the data of my previous RMC hosted by Godaddy.

Another bitter experience teaching me not to believe simpleton youtubers.

The reason to choose DomainRacer was that -

  • Unlimited space bandwidth with SSL certificate totally FREE!

One of the reasons cited by Google when it red-flagged my previous RCM hosted by Godaddy was that the site lacked SSL certificate, a mandatory essential for any website to avoid getting hacked and red-flagged by Google in future, considering all search engines require website-owners having their website embedded with SSL certificate.

I have no idea if it is one of the marketing gimmicks of search engines to promote sales of companies selling SSL certificates under some clandestine commercial pacts but for me, it was an experience of the fact that buying a new domain and starting off a blog is not actually the inception of your blogging business, as many things that go beyond discussion on youtube videos and web articles can finally land you on so many troubles later when your site is up and running on the web.

Many people still refute the requirement of SSL certificates and have their websites without it.

However, my gut feeling, after my website was blacklisted by Google was telling me to give it a thought and purchase a hosting service that comes with SSL Certificate. On GoDaddy, hosting renewal with SSL certificate was posing an exorbitant overhead to my budget.

On DomainRacer, it came at the cost of just Rs 1200 - a very strong reason for me to choose it.

Please note that I have also switched from WINDOWS to LINUX hosting, considering my site was just a blog domain, plus my need was not so superfluous. I simply wanted a blog site to write content and represent it as my virtual resume to my prospective recruiters.

How did I switch to DomainRacer from GoDaddy

I did not want to bell the cat, considering my technical understanding of migrating the site to a new hosting service provider was insufficient. However, research works finally led me to the idea of changing the nameserver of the previous hoster to the new one, and the job was done.

I was allocated four nameservers by new domain hoster, and based on the web inputs I searched for, I changed the previous nameservers of Godaddy to the new ones allocated to me by DomainRacer.

So far so good!

Regarding the performance of DomainRacer...

  • Much to my satisfaction, so far!
  • No experience of downtime, so far!
  • A host of features, including cPanel.

Status of Read My Content

RMC is up and running. There are four posts on the website, something I must confess is not demonstrative of my passion as a writer. It's just because of my procrastination that the number of posts on my blog is so low.

One thing I would like to make clear - before subscribing to DomainRacer, I made sure that the reputation of the website holds water, and for this, I read reviews of its subscribers, and almost every one of them talked good things about it, with recommendations. I took the chance. Experience is good so far.

I believe that when you are to look for a new hosting company, do not be oblivious to downtime, for much of it could lead to a serious downfall of traffic counts on your website. I specifically checked the detail of DOWNTIME in reviews before opting for DomainRacer.

Though you guys are at liberty to choose whatever hosting service you may want to go for, but if you want to give a shot to DomainRacer, please go ahead. My experience with it has been satisfactory so far.

Subscribe to DomainRacer.

At last, Read My Content is my blog platform housing posts from different writing genres. The site publishes posts on lifestyle, technical topics, meditation, and posts on some other industrial subjects.

Writing: Are (Most) Writers Brooding Introverts?

This has fascinated me a lot. You see, back to college days, most of my classmates were a brooding introvert. Reason? Well. They said they were learning writing, and to be a good writer, they had to brood over a lot of things.

“Are you kidding me?” I asked this to a friend of mine in the college, who often put on a face signifying much of his aging were sacrificed onto deep thinking. “Do you mean writers are a heck of brooding lots? Men with personality-avoidant-disorders? Sounds like they are cut off the rest of the world, aren't they, huh?”

“Precisely. But, most writers are brooding introverts. This doesn’t mean they don’t have social contacts or simply they don’t want to have them. The fact is their passion for writing demands this kind of fealty. Introversion is not a demerit, it's helpful for such professionals.” said the friend.

“Fealty? Dude, you sound they’re killing themselves. I don’t find any virtue to be in that state of personality.”

“I can’t make you understand now. Eventually, you will get the drift.”

And, yes, he was right, to some extent.

Well, I am not an introvert, but yes, I brood, and sometimes I brood so much that I have a feeling that I am under the influence of introversion. Because, much of my thinking is carried out in a quiet room/place, away from the hustle bustle life of metro-city.

If that short-term reclusion to a quieter place has anything to do with me being an introvert, then you can call me introverted.

Well, I do have social contacts, but the fact is, my writing always requires me to be at peace. I can’t write anything when I am disturbed or when I am lack of good thoughts.

As a matter of fact, I have to brood over many things before I come up with a fresh topic. It doesn’t mean the moment I start hitting keywords, ideas just get scripted into a form of an article/blog. Yeah – that’s the possibility, but the output of such written blog doesn’t sound good to me.

Without much brooding, I can’t write well – that’s a fact. And, I am an ambivert individual. My brooding regarding writing is not associated with introversion aspect of my personality as a writer.

By the way, what do you think of it? Do you believe writers are brooding introverts?

Content Writing: Know Your Audience

When contents are written from the perspective of promoting a website in search engines, then it is considered a kind of writing associated with SEO/Search Engine Optimization. Such kind of writing is search-engine-pleasing. This is because of the reason that much of SEO content writing is promotional-sounding advertisement than being informative for audiences/web-readers.

Having said that, the audience is (unfortunately) given secondary importance in SEO writing.

Most writers do not understand that SEO content writing or any type of writing is never devoid of the one and only key thing – the audience!

I’ve got this intuitive feel that content writing has changed drastically from the last few years. For example, there was a time when SEO content writing was entirely keywords-specific. Stuffing keywords was the common practice maintained by the then writers (sadly, some still follow that trend). Now, quality is one of the most important factors in content writing.

However, I must say it’s not the quality alone, the understanding audience for which a writer writes, is also very, a very important factor to consider.

Why the audience matters?

If you’re writing something on the subject of health without working hard on who you write for, then believe me, that article/blog of yours will not catch the attention of readers looking for an article on the subject of electronic gadgets.

To put it simply, an article on “Health benefits of eating an apple” is useless for the audience looking for “Dell Inspiron Laptop 15” reviews” OR “How to improve content writing skill”. Similarly, contents for an automobile website are not useful for the website having business in stock exchange. Means, you're not here to please everyone!

Therefore, prioritize your audience, as this counts.

Before you start writing, make sure who you write for. It will help you gather quality audiences – those, who are related to the information that you are offering through your writing. Knowing the audience always makes a difference between the quantum of readers and quality of readers.

Brevity Matters In SEO Content Writing

Ever heard of “Brevity is the soul of wits”? If yes, this adage is an optimal example to highlight the importance of brevity in writing. Gone are the days when readers used to prefer a lengthy piece of writing. With the introduction of online technology, there has been the replacement of textbooks to virtual reading as most readers find this very easy and comfy.

However, it is the brief writing that counts in the context of writing whether you write from the perspective of SEO.

SEO content writing, like any conventional writing, is to write something about a particular subject. Though it is different from casual writing, what needs to understand that even this type of writing is hugely appreciated if written in brief. If you write something, in brief, you convey your message effectively.

In addition, you manage to put forward your ideas easily to your readers. Since readers find such contents easy to read, they usually prioritize your blog/website for more information.

How to write SEO content writing in brief?

Choose your topic – This is one of the most crucial points that you have to take into account. Choosing a topic largely involves studying the keywords about which you will write. For instance, if your keywords are, home loan, home loan eligibility, you need to give a title like “Eligibility criteria for a home loan” or something related to it. So, choose your topic first.

Summarize entire contents – Just write according to the title that you've chosen. Once you are done with writing, summarize word counts. This involves eliminating superfluous words or the sentences you have added unnecessarily. Do not feel emotional while pruning your contents. Just mercilessly remove them as beating around the bush is not SEO content writing.

Following the aforesaid tips will give you ideas about how to begin writing SEO contents in brief. Always bear in mind that short and easy content writing is one of the most key factors in writing whether you write for SEO or pleasure.

Best SEO Content Writing Tips

SEO content writing inherits numerous fundamental factors to essentially output compelling and search engine's optimized contents thus leading to the fulfilment of two most unforgettable objectives – readability and improved ranking. The sort of SEO content writing my narrative belongs to demonstrates on-page optimization, a technique of contextualizing sentences meaningfully in conformity with target keywords.

However, the success of a content writing is not an equivocation of contextualizing words neither a way of representing a contrived version of a writer's self-acknowledged paradigm as a credible source for quality writing. It is entirely the most defacto part of augmenting traffic density of a website by the dint of informatively powerful and delightful contents.

Also, a website's current status-quo largely accounts for the pace of growth in the traffic influx. For example, a website with widespread online visibility is far better in serving the seo purpose as compared to the one under the rudimentary stage of achieving online visibility. In other words, The New York Times website will have first priority in the result of search engines as compared to a newly designed website.

SEO content writing tips in this article entail some essential factors with their fundamental analysis. Let's read them...

Give Keyword Research High Priority – SEO content writing involves placing the right keywords in appropriate quantum without compromising the quality of contents. Keywords are undeniably one of the most imperative parts. That's why; an SEO writer must adhere to the doctrine of including deeply researched keyword/s, especially those with high search ranking. Google Adwords is really one of the most feasible ways to pick up the right keywords for your SEO content writing needs.

Meanwhile, never be oblivious to the placement of keywords in an adequate and permissible limit. Also, include one or two secondary keywords while much focus needs to be maintained on the prime ones.

Tonality Matters - In contrast to the popular and widely accepted belief that SEO content writing has the chief involvement of keywords and readable stuff, I concur, the tonality/voice is also a pivotal part of this. With tonality, I mean to emphasize the importance of the voice of your written contents. Instead of dropping F-bomb on your contents, writing in a friendly tonality will not only bind your target audiences but also establish your credibility as a good writer.

A habit of sweet-toned and informative content writing is the impression of yours being an expert writer, who knows how to put across thoughts meaningfully and friendly.

Will you read my contents if it's been the worst vituperative style of writing you've ever come across?

Bowdlerize Contents If Sounding Plagiarized - Ah! The susceptibility is getting so high on me that I hardly feel credulous to the authenticity of writers who give a damn if contents are plagiarized. If not, we would perhaps be in the world of totally non-plagiarized writing where writers respected each other's ideas and give credit if need to borrow partial amount of contents becomes inevitable. Gosh! That's not true in today's virtual world.

Never be in the league of those godforsaken content writers who destroy their credibility by embroiling into the despicable act of plagiarism. If you suspect the portion of your contents are plagiarized, bowdlerize or remove them. This doesn't mean you should actually steal and edit others contents.

Since countless ideas about "SEO content writing tips" are there on the web today, a partial similarity of yours with one of them is expected. Pick up few sentences of your written contents and paste them on Google to see if contents match with any results (type "..." and put your contents in the middle of both inverted commas). This will help you detect if your contents are (unwittingly) getting plagiarized.

SEO content writing from my professional standpoint is not something to be construed as a part of normal style of writing. A SEO writer must adhere to quality with adequately supplied keyword/s. This, all in all, makes you a good SEO content writer.

SEO Content Writing Does The Word “cheap” Mirror Exactitude?

With the inundation of SEO content writing service firms on the web, I don't think my revered readers need further explanation about SEO content writer. But these days I have been amazed at “cheap” SEO content writing service.

What does that “cheap” mean, actually?

From a client's perspective, especially the one who is particularly not aware of the reputation of a firm/company providing such service, the “cheap” SEO content writing service may be derivative of “affordable”. And hey presto! That's where most of them end up being stunningly “cheated”.

Sorry! I don't mean to demean the reputation of those firms which adhere to “cheap” content writing service. However, I have received complaints of many clients, who were really saddened/frustrated and stunned to have been treated with the “cheap” textual technique (is that right word to define the implication of mine?)

To their standpoints, impressed with good ranking and mostly the word “cheap”, the clients outsourced their SEO content writing project to one of such firms. To their surprise, they continued receiving fairly good writing service for sometimes, but gradually the quality diminished and eventually, they (clients) started receiving something worth calling as trash.

What did you deduce from the aforesaid explanation?

That the word “cheap” should not be trusted at all? That the word “cheap” is like the notice board lined by two x-shaped bones below a skull with message “danger”? Most importantly, does the word imply that “not all that's written with “cheap” is cheap at all”?

If you think like that, then you are right. You read my mind :)

A piece of advice -

Don't fall prey to “cheap” when it comes to hiring a firm providing SEO content writing service.

Make good research before you ensure yourself that the “cheap” mirror exactitude. This means you should ensure if the firm is providing SEO content writing service that is quality and affordable.

For God sake, that's your money friends! Invest it wisely.

Hopefully, next time you encounter with such a situation, you would remember my humble advice and would do some researches to ensure the exactitude of your SEO content writing service firm with that of word “cheap”.

Tonality Matters In Content Writing

How often do you consider tonality being one of the most vital aspects of your writing? Perhaps, you may have not paid attention to this, the fact is, the voice of your writing is as much vital as making it informative for your readers.

I have my own personal experience that most written contents fail to entertain readers because they do not sound friendly to readers.

When you write contents, you must be careful about the tonality. Whether you are a novice or an experienced content writer, things do matter when the tonality of your writing is not friendly. You may have noticed that most bloggers do not have huge readerships as their blogs sound esoteric and unfriendly.

The tonality of your non-SEO or SEO content writing (if you write professionally) should be professional, to the point and pleasing. Do not write with the impression that only moderately literate readers read articles on the web. In fact, there are plenty of well-read readers who read and assess your writing ability. They also analyze the voice of your written contents.

Informative and sweet-toned writing accords to the discretion of your potential readers.

If you include foul words in your writing, you should better abnegate this. This is because of the reason that not all the readers, especially the ones hungry for quality reading, welcome such a piece of writing. You may have seen many written contents stuffed with these types of words. Did you like them?

Why don't you imagine yourself to be in the place of your potential readers you write for? That will help you understand the voice of your own written words. That would also help you make the necessary rectification to the contents if they sound senseless and unfriendly.

You are also advised to read out your finished article. This is very useful as it will help you understand the totality of the article.

How to ensure that the tonality of written contents is friendly or nasty?

Proofreading is an essential tool to ensure the nature of the tonality of your written contents. It can help you detect tonality as well as grammatical inaccuracy (if any) of your written contents.

Words (written or spoken) always say something. A writer must be familiar with contextualizing sentences that sound meaningful and friendly. If they sound vulgar or irrelevant, you will make a wrong impression for your readers as a writer. You will probably demean your credibility as a writer for your potential clients as well.

Therefore, do not underestimate the value of tonality while writing. This is very important. Good tonality means you are respecting your readers while sharing your ideas with them.
